ベトナムジャケット(ベトナムツアージャケット ベトナムスーベニアジャケット)とは、ベトナム戦争中にベトナムに駐留した米兵士が、記念品として地元ベトナムの仕立て屋にオーダーしたカスタムジャケットです。
ジャケットには、通常、その米兵が所属していた期間、部隊の駐屯地名、基地名などの刺繍がほどこされましたが、このジャケットではアストロノーツスヌーピーのムーンホップ(ムーンランディング)デザインでカスタムされています。
USミリタリーポンチョライナーの素材から作られたベトナムジャケットをベースに、オールドアメリカンミリタリースタイルのディテールを再現しつつも、スヌーピー宇宙飛行士柄刺繍でカスタムされたモデルで、現代的なシルエットを取り入れ、街着として洗練されたファッショナブルでスタイリッシュなデザインに再構築されています。
表素材はナイロン100%のリップストップ生地です。
マットな光沢感のあるライトウェイトナイロンで、軽量で、やわらかいソフトナイロン生地です。
リップストップは裂け止めの意味で生地表面には碁盤の目状に繊維を縫い込み、万が一生地が裂けてもそれ以上の進行を防ぐ生地です。
裏地は滑りのよいアセテートサテン生地で、インナーウェアとの摩擦を考慮した袖通しの良い生地です(内ポケットは付いておりません)。
表生地には波状にキルティングステッチがほどこされ、ポリエステル100%の中綿が適度な量で詰められています。
中綿の量を多すぎず適度な量にすることにより、保温性を確保しつつも、モコモコとした着ぶくれ感が軽減され、スッキリとした着用感になります。
また、キルティングにより中綿が寄ったり、ずれたりしにくい構造になっています。
フロントはジップアップによるファスナー開閉式です。
ウエストには手を入れやすいように斜めに口が開いた、片玉縁のハンドウォーマーポケットが設けられています。
袖口はスリーブプラケット付きの1つボタン留めカフス仕様です。
柄は総刺繍で表現されています。

This quilted jacket is uniquely designed and inspired by original Vietnam war military poncho liner tour jacket ( vintage embroidered souvenir jackets, Vietnam tour jacket ) from US military issue poncho liner material made in Vietnam. Vietnam tour jackets ( Vietnam souvenir jackets ) were made by local tailors in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. These souvenir jackets became popular among off duty U.S soldiers who would have local tailors hand-sew them to commemorate their one year tour of duty. Also this jacket is outfitted with Tailor Toyo brand own detailing and design. And this Jacket is decorated with Moon Hop embroidery. The embroidered design on this jacket is based on the Snoopy Astronaut 1969 Moon Landing in space.
